My first big fight of the game. I was outbid at the last second, so the pirates chose me as their target. Lucky me, I already had Advanced Psidar, so I ordered the Bombers out of their hangers to sting the enemy as they exited warp. With 50 bombers (which is the minimum for all my planets) I've found that I can kill most of the frigates of any faction with one pass. So, while waiting for the pirates to arrive, I fiddled around with the camera until I got this angle, which reminded me of a Battlestar Galatica episode (can't remember which one), which in turn lead to the thought, "BSG was never this badass".
Anyway, this shot also includes: 2 Crystal Asteroids, 3 Civic Research Stations, 1 Broadcast Center, 1 Gauss Defense Platform, and 1 Civilian Cargo Ship. Figure out which is which and win a slice of E-Pie!
